All About Century Trains
We’re thrilled to announce that Century Trains (CTs) are here. To recap, A Century Train is a special century-specific Locomotive NFT with fantastic attributes, the ability to traverse centuries, and unique earning utility.
How to Forge a Century Train:
Cost:
Forging a Century Train requires collecting all 18 CT Parts and a Tocium “Forge fee.” This Forge fee is dynamic and equal to roughly 50 WAXP worth of Tocium. To start, the Forge Fee will be 500,000 Tocium. This fee is not automatically updated but will be manually changed as the Tocium / WAXP pairing changes.
Process:
Forging a CT is easy; navigate to the “Parts” tab in the market, select the “Fuse” sub-tab and click “Forge Century Train.”
You won’t be able to mint a Century Train if:
- You do not possess all 18 Century Train Parts.
- You do not have the Forge Fee in your wallet.
Century Train Reward Structure
With “10” stats across the board, Century Trains are the best Locomotives in the game. In addition to the excellent attributes, they can earn both AMP and Tocium.
Earning AMP from Railruns:
The amount of AMP earned from each run depends on what the CT is hauling. The calculation is simple:
(Amount of Tocium earned from Railrun + Passenger Tips) / 100
The outcome of the calculation rounded down to the nearest integer is the AMP Payout. If a CT-led train makes a haul that produces less than 100 Tocium, the AMP payout will be 1.
Earning Tocium from Staking:
In addition to earning AMP from Railruns, players can stake their Century Trains to earn Tocium.
Century Trains earn 80 Tocium per hour when staked — double the mythic rate.
How Passengers Work With Century Trains
As noted in the calculation above, Happy Passenger Tips are added to what the Tocium payout would be if a non-CT loco were hauling the Commodities. This amount, after the tips, is divided by 100 and rounded down to give the AMP payout amount.
Looking Forward
The introduction of Century Trains will increase the production of AMP. Use cases for AMP right now are composition upgrades and fast region hopping with Instant Transmission, the latter being a significant AMP burner. We’re working to implement additional region-based NPC encounters to incentivize more Instant Transmission.
