It’s Tocium Time| The Pre-Beta Boost
As of Today, The CenturyVerse contains upwards of fifteen thousand locomotives resting easy in their Railroader’s WAX wallets — Locos that are full of promise, but until now, not much utility. With the Beta in development, the Century Team wanted to bring utility to these Locomotive NFTs.
That’s why we’re introducing: The Rail Yard and Conductor Lounge.
Railroaders are now able to “Stake” their locomotives in The Railyard and earn the in-game currency, Tocium.
The Thought Process
Tocium accrued by Railroaders prior to the Beta would be analogous to an “airdrop” commonly seen in other Crypto landscapes, a way to reward early supporters. Opening The Railyard & Conductor Lounge now is a great opportunity for Railroaders to stack up on Tocium, so they can fully take advantage of the in-game opportunities from day 1 of the Beta.
Some of the in-game opportunities you will need Tocium for:
Purchasing “Century Train” parts
Refilling your Locomotives with fuel
Purchasing Century Vials
Upgrading Stations
A Pre-Beta “Boost”
These versions of The Railyard and The Conductor Lounge are a limited opportunity to earn Tocium before the Beta, and will be discontinued upon Beta release. They will, however, be reintroduced in the form of optional add-ons for station owners in the future.
Tocium payouts for staking are from a fixed pool, the amounts per card based on the NFT rarity. (Amounts are subject to change as the CenturyVerse calibrates).
The Railyard is open for staking Locomotives now, The Conductor Lounge will be accepting patrons immediately following the whitelisted pack drop on July 24th.
